Amanda Sullivan

Health Science Informaticist - APHL Fellow

Amanda Sullivan, PhD, currently serves as a Health Science Informaticist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, having begun this role in January 2024. Prior to this position, Amanda held various roles at The University of Georgia from May 2016 to January 2024, including Laboratory Project Manager and Graduate Research Assistant, focusing on SARS-CoV-2 variant tracking, toxin biosynthesis research, and providing support in laboratory techniques. Amanda’s educational background includes a PhD in Bioinformatics expected in November 2024, a Master of Science in Fisheries and Aquatic Biology, and a Bachelor of Science in Poultry Science with an emphasis on Food Safety and Food Microbiology, all obtained from The University of Georgia.
