Aron Hall

Division Director

Aron Hall is a Director of the Division of Viral Diseases at the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases, bringing over 18 years of experience as an epidemiologist and public health leader at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Recognized globally for expertise in enteric and respiratory viruses, Aron has authored over 250 journal articles and book chapters and held adjunct faculty appointments at Emory University's Rollins School of Public Health. Aron began their CDC career in 2006 and has held various leadership roles, including Deputy Director for Science in the Coronavirus and Other Respiratory Viruses Division. Aron's educational background includes a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from North Carolina State University and both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in public health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
