B. Casey Lyons

B. Casey Lyons, MPH, CPH, is an experienced epidemiologist currently working at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the Division of Overdose Prevention, where responsibilities include co-leading the data linkage strategy for the Overdose Data 2 Action grant program and providing technical assistance for non-fatal drug overdose surveillance. Previous roles at CDC involved significant contributions to COVID-19 response efforts as a permanent staff member in the case notification Data Team and as a COVID-19 Response Coordinator for the Southern Plains Tribal Health Board, managing response subawards and supporting tribal communities. B. Casey Lyons also has a strong background in opioid program evaluation with the Maryland Department of Health and has experience in public health education, policy evaluation, and drug safety research through various internships and academic positions. Academic credentials include a Master of Public Health from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and Neuroscience from Williams College.
