Cassandra Jones currently serves as the Lead Epidemiologist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, where responsibilities include leading the Coordination and Technical Implementation Team for the Global Respiratory Viruses Branch since June 2021. Prior experience encompasses several roles at the Tennessee Department of Health, including Vaccine-Preventable Diseases Senior Epidemiologist and Team Lead, from August 2016 to June 2021. Earlier positions include Graduate Teaching Assistant at Kansas State University and Graduate Research Assistant in Medicinal Chemistry at The University of Kansas. Cassandra Jones holds a DrPH in Health Security from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, an MPH in Infectious Disease and Zoonosis from Kansas State University, and a B.S. in Chemistry from Lincoln Memorial University.
