Chuck Buxton

Public Health Analyst/deputy Branch Chief at CDC

Chuck Buxton is a seasoned public health analyst and military leader with extensive experience in both public health and military operations. Currently serving as a Public Health Analyst and Deputy Branch Chief at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention since January 2000, Chuck has also held significant military positions, including Commander of the 111th Ordnance Group (EOD) from March 2016 to January 2019, and Officer Development at Alabama Army National Guard in 2019. Prior roles include Assistant Chief of Staff and Distribution Management Center Chief at the 167th Theater Sustainment Command, among others. Chuck holds a Master's degree in Military Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College, a Master of Public Health from the University of South Florida, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Jacksonville State University.
