Curtis Smith

Curtis Smith is an experienced IT Specialist currently providing senior technical guidance and oversight at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention since October 2021. Previously, Curtis held IT Specialist roles at the USDA and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, focusing on infrastructure integration and systems security. With a background as a Network Engineer at General Dynamics Information Technology, Curtis has successfully managed network operations and projects. Curtis served as a Combat Communications Specialist in the Air National Guard and has worked as an Infrastructure Engineer for the Defense Contract Management Agency. Additional experience includes roles in network optimization at Cbeyond and as part of Intelsat General Corporation's operations center. Curtis holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Information Technology Operations and Security from Western Governors University, earned between 2016 and 2020.
