Emily U.

Epidemiologist

Emily U. has extensive experience in public health and epidemiology, beginning with a Pre-Doctoral Fellowship in the Cancer Education and Career Development Program at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston from September 2013 to May 2015. Following this, Emily held several positions at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, including roles as an Epidemiologist and an Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer, focusing on overdose prevention and health impacts related to the built environment. In addition, Emily serves as a Lieutenant Commander in the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service since July 2015. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from Boston College, a Master’s Degree in Public Health, and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Epidemiology from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.
