Eric Halsey, MD, served as the Chief Medical Officer of the CDC Travelers' Health Branch, where they were the Editor in Chief of the CDC Yellow Book: Health Information for International Travel. They previously worked with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention from 2014 to 2022 as part of the President's Malaria Initiative. Their experience includes leading the Infectious Diseases Department at Wright-Patterson Medical Center, where they ran both inpatient and outpatient services. Halsey completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in infectious diseases at Wilford Hall Medical Center and holds a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Kansas Medical Center.
