Gilbert Kersh

Gilbert Kersh is a distinguished professional in the field of biology with over 25 years of experience. Currently serving as the Branch Chief of the Rickettsial Zoonoses Branch at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention since August 2008, Gilbert Kersh previously led Q fever laboratory activities as a Research Biologist. Gilbert Kersh holds an Assistant Professor position at Emory University School of Medicine from September 1999 to August 2008 and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis from September 1994 to September 1999. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Biology from UC San Diego (1988-1994) and a BS in Chemistry from Baylor University (1984-1988).
