Hua Yang

Hua Yang is a seasoned microbiologist with extensive experience at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention since June 2009. Prior to this role, Hua worked as a research biochemist at Battelle from June 2008 to June 2009 and served as a postdoctoral fellow at the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education from August 2007 to June 2008. Additionally, Hua contributed to education as a program specialist at the University of Georgia's Department of Chemistry for a brief period in mid-2007 and conducted research as a graduate research assistant in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from August 2002 to May 2007. Hua holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from the University of Georgia, completed in 2007, and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Virology and Molecular Biology from Wuhan University, obtained in 2000.
