J. Phoenix Smith

J. Phoenix Smith, LCSW-A, has extensive experience in public health and social work, having served in various leadership roles since the late 1990s. Notable positions include Health Services Administrator at the Maryland Department of Mental Health and Hygiene, HIV/Clinic Programs Manager at Tri-City Health Center, and Program Manager at Alameda County's Office of HIV Health Services. Currently, J. Phoenix Smith is the Founder of both The Alliance for Ecotherapy & Social Justice and EcoSoul Health and Wellness Consulting, and serves as a Public Health Advisor for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Academically, J. Phoenix Smith holds a Master’s degree in Social Work and Public Health from Howard University and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from St. Mary's University.
