Jo Stryker

Jo Stryker is an executive public health and communication leader with over 25 years of experience in advancing public health through strategic communication, behavioral science, and campaign development. Stryker has served as Director at the CDC, overseeing initiatives such as the Let’s Stop HIV Together campaign and managing a $20M+ annual budget while leading interdisciplinary teams. Stryker's publication record includes over 40 peer-reviewed articles, and they are recognized as a strategic advisor with substantial expertise in health communication and evaluation. Previously, Stryker held academic roles at the University of Illinois and Emory University, contributing significantly to the field of communication. Stryker earned a PhD in Communication from the University of Pennsylvania and a BA from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
