John Patterson

Associate Director for Customer Experience, Office of Safety, Security, and Asset Management

John Patterson is the Associate Director for Customer Experience at the Office of Safety, Security, and Asset Management within the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Previously, they held various roles including Policy, Performance, and Communications Lead, and Public Health Analyst, contributing to public health initiatives from 2017 to 2022. Prior to that, John worked as a Management Analyst at the U.S. Office of Personnel Management and served as a Public Information Officer at the North Carolina Transportation Museum. They began their career as a Reporter for the Salisbury Post from 1997 to 1999. John holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
