John Yembu

John Yembu, PhD in Crisis and Emergency Management, is a geographer, emergency management technical advisor, and epidemiologist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. With extensive experience in geospatial technology and statistics, John has led large-scale projects focused on climate change, public health, and natural resource management. They have held positions as a GIS specialist and consultant for various organizations, including the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti and the Plumas National Forest. John earned a Master's degree in Geographic Information Systems from the University of Redlands and a Master of Science in Environmental Control and Management from Obafemi Awolowo University.
