Jonathan Carlson

Jonathan Carlson is an accomplished public health leader with extensive experience at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) since 2008, currently serving as Director of a $3.8 billion program aimed at enhancing public health infrastructure across 107 departments. Previously, Carlson held several key roles within CDC, including Deputy Director of the Public Health Infrastructure Grant, Associate Director for Program, and Chief Performance Officer, where responsibilities spanned strategic planning, program innovation, and performance management. Carlson's career includes significant project management experience at Deloitte Consulting and comprehensive roles at CDC, such as Special Assistant to the COO and Contract Officer. Early career experience includes research coordination at the University of Georgia and credit and collections management at MMPI and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago. Jonathan Carlson holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from The University of Georgia and a BBA in Finance from Grand Valley State University.
