Jonathan Mwangi

Jonathan Mwangi, MD, is a seasoned Public Health Specialist with over 12 years of experience in collaborating with national governments, multilateral organizations, and NGOs. They have successfully managed grants exceeding $50 million to advance HIV epidemic control in Kenya. Mwangi has co-chaired task forces focused on project sustainability and has led teams in implementing strategies that enhance county governments' ownership of HIV programs. Currently, they lead efforts to integrate machine learning in HIV diagnosis while advancing programs within the Universal Health Coverage framework. Mwangi holds an MBChB in Medicine and is pursuing a Ph.D. in Public Health Sciences from Karolinska Institutet.
