Jonathan Sung

Health Scientist (program Evaluation)

Jonathan Sung, MPH, currently serves as a Health Scientist focusing on program evaluation at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, where responsibilities include evaluating workforce development and capacity-building efforts for health department partners. Previously, Jonathan held various roles at the CDC, including Lead Evaluator on the Extramural Team within the Epidemiology, Research, and Innovations Branch, and served as an Evaluation Fellow at the National Center for Injury Prevention and Control. Jonathan's experience extends to managing educational initiatives at the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health, where oversight included grant writing and technical assistance for public health leaders, as well as consulting roles focused on evaluation research and professional development. Additional experience includes positions at Kaiser Permanente and the US Department of Transportation, along with research work at Emory University and National Cheng Kung University. Jonathan holds a Master of Public Health from Emory University and a Bachelor of Arts in Community Health from Brown University.
