Jonathan Trapp

Special Advisor for Emergency Management

Jonathan Trapp is currently a Special Advisor for Emergency Management at the Centers for Disease Control and has over 20 years of federal emergency management experience. They have developed and led significant initiatives, including the Continuity of Operations Plan and the Casualty Assistance Team at the CDC. Jonathan served as a Deputy Emergency Manager and Emergency Manager, where they established critical safety frameworks and led emergency responses across CDC facilities. Additionally, they are an ordained pastor in the ELCA and oversee faith formation at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer. Jonathan holds a Doctor of Ministry from Emory University and multiple degrees in public administration, political science, and divinity.
