Lance Broeker has extensive experience in the field of informatics and geospatial technology, currently serving as the Deputy Associate Director of Informatics at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention since April 2007. In this role, Lance leads a technology team focused on data visualization, enterprise geospatial support, and system architecture, with expertise in ESRI GIS products and full stack development. Previously, Lance worked as a Systems Engineer at EDS, leading the development of geospatial and data visualization applications for the CDC. Earlier positions included GIS Programmer at GeoFields Inc. and GIS Developer at Pacific Meridian Resources, as well as a GIS Analyst at Information Technology Outreach Services. Lance holds an MBA in Computer Information Systems from Georgia State University and a BSFR in Wildlife Biology and Forestry from The University of Georgia.
