Laura Edison has extensive experience in public health and epidemiology, currently serving as the Field Assignments Branch Team Lead at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention since August 2010, where responsibilities include acting as a Career Epidemiology Field Officer with the Georgia Department of Public Health. Laura's background also includes a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry. In addition to public health roles, Laura has held positions as an Associate Veterinarian at The Village Vets and The Veterinary Center of Buckhead, as well as Interface Department Manager at Patient Care Technologies. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from Emory University, a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia, and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Vanderbilt University. Laura is also a member of the Board of Directors for Lifestock International.
