Leonard Jack, Jr. is the Editor-in-Chief of the Preventing Chronic Disease Journal at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, Georgia. They previously served as the Director of the Division of Community Health at the CDC from 2013 to 2016. Leonard holds a Ph.D. in Behavioral Sciences from Penn State University, where they also earned a Master of Science in the same field, following a Bachelor of Science in Community Health Education from Virginia State University. Currently, Leonard is involved with the Society for Public Health Education as Past-President and is set to serve as President of the Society for Health Education from 2024 to 2025.
