Mary Dott

Mary Dott serves as an Online Editor for the Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR) Series and as the Deputy of Science in the Division of Public Health Information Dissemination at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). With a career starting in 2001, Mary has held various significant roles, including supervising senior epidemiologists and managing the Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) officers, responsible for public health emergencies. Previously, Mary worked as a Preventive Medicine Resident and a Medical Officer assigned to the World Health Organization Collaborating Center in Reproductive Health. Mary Dott earned an MPH in Epidemiology from Emory University and an MD from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, along with a BA from The University of Texas at Austin.
