Michael Melchior is a public health monitoring and evaluation specialist with eleven years of experience in large-scale prevention programs focusing on HIV, chronic disease, and environmental health, among other areas. They have served as the CDC Country Director and held various roles within the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, including Team Lead and Evaluation Fellow. With a strong background in research and education, Michael has also contributed as an Adjunct Professor and Research Associate at Florida International University and co-founded the International Health Connection. They hold a Ph.D. in Public Health from FIU and have a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Food Science & Human Nutrition from the University of Florida.
