Mimi Cheyip

Mimi Cheyip is a highly motivated and results-oriented professional with over 10 years of experience as a public health practitioner specializing in surveillance, monitoring and evaluation, and epidemiology. They earned an MSc (Med) in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the University of the Witwatersrand and hold a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Microbiology from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. Currently, they work as a Senior Public Health Specialist (Epidemiologist) with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in South Africa, leveraging their expertise to advance public health initiatives. Previously, they served as a Senior Medical Scientist at the National Health Laboratory Services and as a Biostatistician with the Perinatal Health Research Unit.
