Philip Ricks is a seasoned epidemiologist with extensive experience in global health and disease detection. Philip began a career at Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago as an epidemiologist from 2005 to 2007. At the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Philip served as an analyst in global disease detection from 2018 to 2021, and then as a senior epidemiologist in Cote d'Ivoire, focusing on the Global Health Security Agenda. Additionally, Philip held roles as a resident advisor for malaria in Ghana and contributed to healthcare quality promotion, tackling hospital-acquired infections. Philip's earlier experience includes working as an epidemiologist for the World Health Organization and the CDC, specializing in international tuberculosis. Philip holds a PhD in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the University of Illinois Chicago, as well as an MPH in the same field and a BA in Modern European History from Princeton University.
