Reshma Mahendra

Reshma Mahendra is a public health professional with extensive experience in violence prevention and overdose prevention, currently serving as the Deputy Director of the Division of Violence Prevention at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention since April 2005. Previous roles at the CDC include Lead Public Health Advisor and Public Health Advisor. Prior to CDC, Reshma Mahendra worked as an Instructor and Instructor Trainer at the American Red Cross, and as a Public Health Analyst while contracted by Business Computing Associates. Additional experience includes serving as a CDC Fellow at the Association of Schools of Public Health and working as an Americorps Member at the American Red Cross of Greater Chicago. Reshma Mahendra holds a Master of Public Health in Global Health from the Yale School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Literature and Biology from Washington University in St. Louis.
