Ria Ghai is an experienced epidemiologist currently serving as an Epidemic Intelligence Services Officer in the Mycotic Diseases Branch of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention since October 2017. Ria has held multiple titles within the One Health Office, including Epidemiologist and ORISE Fellow, showcasing a strong commitment to interdisciplinary disease research. Prior to this role, Ria worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Emory University and The University of Georgia. Ria's academic background includes a PhD in Biology from McGill University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Alberta.
