Rosa Herrera

Branch Chief, National Center For Immunization And Respiratory Diseases

Rosa Herrera (Schauble) has extensive experience in health communications, currently serving as Branch Chief at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) since 2009. In addition to leading the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases, Rosa has held several significant roles, including Associate Director for Communication Science in both the Office of Science and the Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion, where responsibilities have included acting as Deputy Associate Director. Prior to joining the CDC, Rosa was a Communications Fellow at the CDC Foundation, where leadership was demonstrated in the development and launch of the CDC's National MRSA Education Initiative. Rosa's career began in public relations with positions as Account Supervisor at FleishmanHillard and Account Executive at St. John & Partners. Rosa holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations from the University of Florida, earned in 1998.
