Ruth Perou

Ruth Perou is currently the Deputy Associate Director for Science in the Office of the Director at the National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities (NCBDDD) at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Ruth has held various roles at the CDC since 1993, including Research Psychologist and Acting Mental Health Coordinator. Prior to joining the CDC, Ruth worked as a Research Psychologist at Battelle from 1992 to 1993. Ruth earned a Ph.D. in Developmental and Child Psychology from the University of Miami, where they studied from 1982 to 1992.
