Sandra Thurman currently serves as the Chief Strategy Officer at the Office of the Global AIDS Coordinator and Global Health Diplomacy at the U.S. Department of State, as well as a Senior Advisor to the Division of Global HIV and Tuberculosis at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Additionally, they are a Professor of Practice at the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University. Sandra has held various senior leadership positions at the White House, CDC, Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health, and the Carter Center. They are pursuing a Master's degree in Pastoral Care from the University of Wales and have a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Administration and Management from Mercer University.
