Stephen Morse currently serves as a Senior Scientist at IHRC, Inc since October 2016. With a distinguished career at the CDC starting in July 1984, Stephen has held various significant roles including Associate Director for Environmental Microbiology, Senior Consultant, and multiple leadership positions in bioterrorism preparedness, AIDS/STDs, and tuberculosis laboratory research. Stephen's prior academic roles include Professor of Microbiology and Immunology at Oregon Health Sciences University and Assistant Professor of Microbiology at Harvard Medical School and School of Public Health. Stephen holds a MSPH and PhD in Microbiology/Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor of Arts in Medical Microbiology and Bacteriology from San José State University.
