Dene MacKinnon has extensive experience in the construction and safety sectors, starting as a coded welder in petriochemical projects in the 1980s before moving into various roles on land rigs and construction sites. After becoming a licensed builder, Dene established their own construction company in 1997, specializing in concrete and tilt-up construction. A director and construction supervisor, Dene has contributed to significant commercial and residential projects in New Zealand while focusing on logistics and safety. Currently, Dene serves as the HSE Manager for CDC Data Centres in New Zealand, having also completed a Nebosh General Certificate with Distinction and a Diploma in OHS.
