Howard Kress

Howard Kress, PhD, is a distinguished program management executive with extensive experience in global health and health systems innovation. Currently serving as Branch Chief at the CDC, they lead strategic enhancements of Health Information Systems in Malawi, achieving significant cost reductions and improved operational efficiency. Previously, as Lead Behavioral Scientist and Team Lead at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Howard played a pivotal role in expanding national surveys and developing evidence-based violence prevention frameworks. With a solid educational foundation, including a BA in Anthropology from the University of Georgia and a PhD from the University of Connecticut, they have significantly contributed to health initiatives in partnership with governments and NGOs worldwide.
