Arthur Lander

Arthur Lander is the Director of the Center for Complex Biological Systems at the University of California, Irvine, where they have been a professor since 1995. They specialize in biological and biomedical research, systems biology, and mathematical and computational biology. Lander serves on the Board of Directors for the Cornelia De Lange Syndrome Foundation and is a visiting professor at National Taiwan University. They previously held positions as an assistant and associate professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1987 to 1995 and were a science board member at the Santa Fe Institute from 2008 to 2018. Arthur earned an M.D. and Ph.D. in Neuroscience and Medicine from the University of California, San Francisco, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from Yale University.
