Ashley Smith has over 20 years of work experience in civil engineering and project management. Ashley is currently working at CDM Smith, where they hold the position of Principal/Project Management and Commercial Leader. Ashley Smith obtained their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering from Vanderbilt University, where they studied from 2000 to 2004. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at Alamo Heights High School from 1996 to 2000. In terms of certifications, Ashley obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in February 2019. In 2014, they acquired the Pipeline Assessment and Certification Program (PACP) certification from the National Association of Sewer Service Companies, as well as a Professional Engineer certification from the State of Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. Additionally, they obtained a Professional Engineer certification from the Tennessee Board of Architectural and Engineering Examiners in 2011. Ashley's education also includes an Erosion Prevention and Sediment Control (EPSC) Level I certification from the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation, which they obtained in 2005.
