Beth Colling is the Chief Compliance Officer at CDM Smith. Beth has over fifteen years of experience in corporate law and compliance.

Beth started their career as a Division General Counsel/Director of Ethics & Compliance at BWX Technologies, Inc./The Babcock & Wilcox Company. In this role, they were responsible for all general counsel operations for the division of a complex manufacturing company. This included general corporate law, drafting and negotiating contracts for both commercial and government work, environmental law, employment and labor law, and regulatory compliance. Beth was also part of the senior leadership team that consolidated the operations of two divisions into one operating group. As part of this consolidation, Beth was responsible for restructuring federal contracting compliance in light of recently promulgated Federal Acquisition Register standards, implementing common investigation protocol to meet regulatory requirements, and implementing the first-of-its-kind compliance leadership team at a government-owned site.

In 2010, Beth became the Vice President and Chief Compliance and Risk Officer at The Babcock & Wilcox Company. In this role, Beth was responsible for the implementation of global Ethics & Compliance and Risk Management functions. This included compliance with HR laws and regulations, energy industry laws and regulations, and quarterly presentations to the Board of Directors and individual Operating Groups. Beth was also responsible for executing investigations to address various types of misconduct, including possible fraud and falsification claims.

Beth Colling has a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, a Certification of Completion from Harvard Kennedy School's Executive Leadership Program 2014, and a B.A. in Journalism from University of Lynchburg (formerly Lynchburg College). Beth also has a certification from the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE) in CCEP.

Beth Colling reports to Timothy B. Wall, Chairman of the Board & CEO. Beth Colling works with Anthony B. Bouchard - President & COO, Graham Campbell - Senior Director, Project Performance Management, and Frank Terrasi - Construction Unit President.
