Dan Cooke is a seasoned environmental professional with extensive experience in ecological and human health risk assessments. Since September 2016, Dan has served as Principal Scientist at CDM Smith, leading field investigations and assessments at contaminated sites, including Superfund locations. Prior to this, Dan held the position of Manager for Risk Assessment and Permitting at Amec Foster Wheeler Environment & Infrastructure from February 2008 to September 2016, managing experts in ecological evaluations and regulatory compliance. Dan's earlier career includes roles as Biology Group Leader at Lockheed Martin REAC, where supervision of environmental scientists involved risk assessments for contaminated sites, and as Manager of Environmental Toxicology at SGS US Testing Company, Inc., directing a full-service toxicology laboratory. Dan holds a Master of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
