Ian Ross

Ian Ross serves as the PFAS Global Practice Leader at CDM Smith since January 2023 and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry since September 2022. Additionally, Ian holds the position of Visiting Professor at Manchester Metropolitan University as of December 2021. Previously, Ian led the PFAS Global Practice for Commercial Accounts at Tetra Tech, and acted as Global PFASs Lead at ARCADIS from May 2014 to March 2021. Ian's career began at Arcadis from 2002 to April 2011, where responsibilities included Director and Remediation Specialist roles focused on soil and groundwater remediation. Ian's technical managerial expertise spans Europe, the Middle East, and Africa from a prior role at FMC Environmental Solutions. Ian's educational background includes postdoctoral studies at the University of Cambridge and Bangor University, a PhD in Xenobiotic Biodegradation from Aberystwyth University, and a BS in Biochemistry from the University of Hull.
