Jeff van Pelt

Jeff Van Pelt, P.E., serves as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer and Regional Team Leader at CDM Smith, a position held since June 2010, where leadership is provided for geotechnical engineering projects in the water/wastewater, federal, and industrial sectors. Responsibilities include overseeing a team of geotechnical engineers nationwide, as well as conducting various geotechnical engineering tasks such as field explorations, laboratory testing, and design analyses involving slope stability and foundation design. Prior experience as a Geotechnical Intern at Fugro involved field explorations and analyses for transportation and local municipality projects. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
