Dr. Joe Orlins, PE, PhD, BC.WRE, is a seasoned engineering manager and specialist in hydraulic and water resources engineering with extensive experience in the consulting industry, research, and higher education. Currently serving as the Pumping Systems & Hydraulics Discipline Lead at CDM Smith, Joe has previously held leadership roles at AECOM and Alden, where they specialized in hydraulic modeling and consulting. Having served as an assistant and associate professor at Rowan University, Joe has a strong background in academia, complemented by a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Minnesota. They have also engaged with various governmental agencies and stakeholders throughout their career.
