John Helwig P.e.

John Helwig P.E., CMRP serves as the Discipline Leader and Principal for Asset Management at CDM Smith since March 2021, overseeing the asset management discipline in the eastern United States. With a diverse background in physical infrastructure and facilities asset management, John specializes in business architecture and strategy, CMMS/WMMS/EAM system implementation, reliability-centered maintenance, and lifecycle investment decision-making. Additionally, John holds a directorship on the Board of Directors for SMRP and has previously held various leadership roles in asset management at companies such as KCI Technologies, GHD, JLL, IMG Rebel, Hazen and Sawyer, and CH2M Hill. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in International Relations and Economics from Johns Hopkins, a Master's in Environmental Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University, and a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering from Tufts University.
