Michael Schmidt

Michael Schmidt is a Senior Vice President at CDM Smith, serving as the Global Practice Leader for Water Resources Infrastructure and Resiliency since May 1986. With extensive expertise in integrated green stormwater management, flood control, ecosystem restoration, resilience and climate change adaptation, modeling, water quality, coastal protection, and civil works design, Michael has significantly contributed to the field. Prior experience includes roles as an Engineer at the St Johns River Water Management District, an Energy Auditor at Gainesville Regional Utilities, and an owner of Mike Schmidt Lawn Service. Michael's academic background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Florida and an Associate of Arts Degree from Central Florida Community College. Additional roles include tutoring in algebra, calculus, and physics, and coaching basketball at the high school level.
