Solomon Abel is a seasoned professional in the water and wastewater services sector with extensive experience spanning over two decades. Currently serving as Senior Vice President and Regional Manager at CDM Smith since November 2006, Solomon oversees operations in Colombia and directs water projects across Latin America, including the design of the Canoas WWTP in Bogota. Solomon has also led significant automation initiatives for water and wastewater facilities and played a pivotal role in expanding CDM Smith's business in Europe and the Middle East through strategic reorganization and new venture development. Previous roles include Project Manager at Olsson Associates, where water and wastewater projects were managed for Kansas City communities, and Process/Project Engineer at Black & Veatch, focusing on wastewater treatment designs in the United States and Latin America. Solomon holds a Master’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University.
