Simon Tinkler

Mr. Tinkler joined CD&R in 2022 as legal advisor, based in London. Previously, he was a Partner at Clifford Chance, an international law firm, and worked closely with CD&R LLP on a range of transactions. Mr. Tinkler joined Clifford Chance in 1995, becoming a partner in 2000 and later serving in various leadership roles, including head of HR for the London Corporate Practice and Head of London Corporate Practice. He specialized in international public and private M&A with a particular focus on private equity transactions and other aspects of corporate finance work. He has advised private equity firms, corporates, and investment banks on a wide range of matters, including leveraged buyouts, IPOs and PIPEs, acquisitions and disposals, takeovers, mergers, joint ventures, restructurings, and refinancing. Mr. Tinkler was appointed as Deputy High Court Judge in England and Wales in 2021. He sits on the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal, an independent body that oversees allegations of misconduct against members of the legal profession. Mr. Tinkler holds a B.A. in Law from Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge.
