David Wharton

David Wharton is an accomplished Chief Architect for the AWS Cloud Platform at CDW, where responsibilities include strategic customer engagement, emerging technologies, and expanding the go-to-market portfolio. David co-founded the Cloud FinOps Practice and has a rich background in multi-cloud financial operations for major platforms. Prior to CDW, experiences include leadership roles at Subway, where David managed the Cloud Engineering team, optimized costs in AWS and Azure environments, and supported global operations. Additional notable positions include founding Principal Solutions Architect at Rights Engine and senior roles at Virtusa and AIG, focusing on cloud migration and compliance. David has also held significant leadership positions in technology and operations for organizations including FADEL, nTangle.tv, The Public Theater, and Blue Man Group. Currently pursuing a Professional Certification in Artificial Intelligence from Harvard University, David's educational background also includes degrees from New York University and Arizona State University.
