Béchir Jarraya

Béchir Jarraya has a diverse work experience spanning various institutions and roles. Starting from 2006, they worked as a Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital in the United States. In 2007, they joined Univesité Paris Est Créteil UPEC - Henri Mondor Hospital - AP-HP as a Chef de clinique assistant - Neurosurgeon. Béchir then became a Principal Investigator at CEA - Commissariat à l'énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives in 2008. In 2011, they took on the role of Neurosurgeon at Foch Hospital, Dept of Neurosurgery and also joined the University of Versailles Paris Saclay as an Associate Professor. In 2014, they became a Professor of Medicine (PU-PH) at the University of Versailles Paris Saclay.

Béchir Jarraya has a diverse educational background in the field of neuroscience and neurosurgery. Béchir completed their undergraduate medical studies at the Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, earning a Medical School degree. Later, they pursued their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in neurosurgery at Pierre and Marie Curie University, where they studied from 1998 to 2005. With a strong interest in neuroscience, they also obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in this field from the same university in 2002-2003. Béchir Jarraya furthered their expertise by completing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Neuroscience at Pierre and Marie Curie University from 2003 to 2006.
