Frédéric DAMIAN

Chef de Service R&D

Frédéric Damian is currently a Chef de Service R&D at CEA, where they lead the Reactor Studies and Applied Mathematics department, focusing on the development of simulation software for neutron transport and energy systems modeling. They have held various roles at CEA since 1998, including Chef de Projets R&D and Chef de Laboratoire R&D, and have contributed to the fields of neutron physics, safety, and radiation protection. In addition to their work at CEA, Frédéric has been involved in teaching at INSTN and Polytechnique since 2008 and 2019, respectively. They completed a PhD in physics and modeling of high-temperature reactors and have furthered their education at notable institutions, including the World Nuclear University and the Institut des hautes études de défense nationale.
