Jan Bayer

Principal Scientist - Head of Flow Cytometry

Jan Bayer has extensive experience in the field of flow cytometry and genetics, serving as Principal Scientist and Head of Flow Cytometry at both CEPH - Fondation Jean Dausset and the Life Sciences Division of Commissariat à l'Energie Atomique since 1997 and 2005 respectively. Prior roles include Post-Doctoral fellow positions at Hôpital Saint Louis and Erasmus University Rotterdam, as well as a Scientist role at TNO. Jan Bayer's research primarily focuses on human sensitivity to ionizing radiation, managing a sophisticated flow facility that includes multiple machines and lasers. Jan Bayer holds a Master of Science degree in Developmental Biology from Rijksuniversiteit Groningen and a Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Universiteit Leiden.
