Michel Werner

Michel Werner is an accomplished academic and research leader with extensive experience in molecular biology. Currently serving as the Director at Institut Jacques Monod/CNRS and University Paris Diderot since January 2018, Michel previously held the position of Research Director at CEA. From January 2015 to November 2017, Michel was the Head of the Department of Genome Biology at the Institute for Integrative Biology of the Cell and served as the Head of the Institute of Biology and Technology - Saclay at CEA from November 2014 to February 2017. Michel Werner's educational background includes a Habilitation à Diriger les Recherches in Molecular Biology from Université Paris-Sud, a PhD in Molecular Biology from Université Libre de Bruxelles, and an Agronomy Engineering degree from the same institution.
