Nathan Asserin

PhD Candidate

Nathan Asserin is an experienced engineer with a focus on research and development in the fields of energy and nuclear safety. As an Ingénieur d’études at ASNR, Nathan developed a simplified numerical model for simulating the drop of radioactive material transport packaging, achieving significant improvements in computation time and accuracy. Previous experience includes working as an R&D engineering assistant at NEM Energy b.v. on the degradation of molten solar salts, as well as roles in machine operation and sales that emphasized responsibility and adaptability. Currently, Nathan is a PhD candidate at CEA, researching the shaping and weldability of a new alloy for molten salt reactors. Nathan holds a Master’s degree in Management and Administration of Companies from IAE Valenciennes and is pursuing a five-year Master’s-level course in Mechanics and Energy from INSA Hauts-de-France.
